Our History:
Calvary began as a home Bible study in 1968 under the direction of First Baptist Church of New Ulm, MN. We were officially organized and recognized as a church in July 1970 under the guidance of the Minnesota Baptist Association. We are grateful for our providential heritage.
Over the 40+ years of our existence as a church, three different senior pastors have served at Calvary: Virgil Fitch (1971-1977), Ron Brewer (1978-1985), and Phil Siefkes (1985-present). Several different assistant pastors have served throughout the years at Calvary.
Calvary stands in the historic, Biblical position that is often (though not exclusively) associated with Baptist churches. We also recognize that not all churches that are Baptist in name are necessarily Biblical in their position and practice.
We rejoice in God's work in our past, while praying for His continuing work in the present, and joyfully anticipating His work in the future.
