| Calvary is actively involved in encouraging other pastors and churches in becoming God-centered in their various ministries. We seek to help others develop a Godward passion. We want to challenge others to take theology seriously, make use of the original languages accurately, and serve people graciously.
Another way in which Calvary has been assisting others has been through a fellowship of pastors and churches who are seeking to be Godward in perspective and practice. A summary of the theological distinctives are: we are local church in orientation, we are Calvinistic (Doctrines of Grace) in soteriology, we are Dispensational in theology, we are cessationist in viewing the sign gifts, we are Baptistic in ecclesiology, we are grammatical-historical in our hermeneutic, and we seek to be positive in personal and ecclesiastical separation (i.e., separation is to God, resulting in separation from the world).
The first meeting of this fellowship took place on January 27, 2005, at Faith Baptist Church of Albert Lea, MN. Notes from our gatherings are available below.
Please contact either Pastor Phil Siefkes at the web address below or Pastor Dennis Seiler of Faith Baptist Church at faithbaptist@smig.net if you are interested in attending any future meetings.
