Godward Passion conferences began in the summer of 2004. A group of smaller churches had been gathering for summer camp for several years and were yearning for something more for the young people in their assemblies. The first conference was held at Sibley State Park north of Willmar, MN. Phil Siefkes taught on A Godward Passion, focusing on the Biblical terms for desire, passion, etc. That original material was then presented to a group of churches from southeastern MN at Faith Baptist Church in Albert Lea, MN, in the fall of 2004. In the spring of 2005, Calvary Baptist Church of Sleepy Eye, MN, hosted another conference, focusing on Sobermindedness. Phil Siefkes presented the messages, which are also available by clicking here. In the autumn of 2005, Faith Baptist of Albert Lea, MN, hosted another conference with Pastor Dave Gerhardt as the speaker.
Calvary Baptist in Sleepy Eye hosted another conference on April 8, 2006, on the topic of Toward a Passion for Holiness. Phil Siefkes was the speaker. An outline of the material is available by clicking here.
